HOUSE CHORD GENERATOR

House Chord Generator: Create Piano-House MIDI Online

A house chord generator should give you an editable musical starting point, not a finished track. HouseKeys focuses on piano-house chords, rhythm and MIDI you can reshape in your DAW.

What is a house chord generator?

A house chord generator creates chord ideas for house music and turns them into playable note data. In HouseKeys, you choose the key, major or minor scale, tempo and length, then shape the result with voicing, syncopation, velocity variation and register controls. The generated progression can be previewed in the browser and exported as a standard MIDI file.

HouseKeys is deliberately focused on the piano-chord part of the workflow. It does not generate a finished song, drum loop, bass line, vocal or bounced piano audio. That narrower focus means the MIDI stays easy to edit after you move it into Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio or another MIDI-compatible DAW.

A practical way to generate house chords

Start by matching the key and approximate tempo of the track you are building. Four bars is usually enough to audition an idea quickly; eight bars gives you more room for a turnaround. Generate a progression, listen once for the harmony, then listen again for the rhythm rather than changing every setting immediately.

If the notes feel too crowded, try a sparser voicing or a higher lowest-root setting before replacing the whole progression. If the harmony is useful but the groove is too straight, increase syncopation. If the part feels mechanical, use a small amount of velocity variation and then fine-tune individual notes in your DAW.

Why export MIDI instead of audio?

MIDI contains note pitches, timing, note lengths, velocities and tempo information rather than a recorded instrument sound. That means the same generated progression can drive a piano, electric piano, organ, synth or any other instrument you choose. You can move notes, change inversions, shorten hits, remove doubles and rearrange the rhythm without trying to edit a rendered audio file.

The HouseKeys browser preview uses a simple sine-pluck sound so you can check the idea quickly. Your own instrument supplies the final tone after import.

Generate first, then produce

Treat the generator as the start of the production process. Once you find a progression with the right character, stop generating and work with it. Try it against your kick and bass, adjust the octave, remove a note that clashes, or create a second version for the end of an eight-bar phrase.

If you want concrete harmony examples before generating, see the piano-house chord progression guide. For DAW-specific workflows, follow the Ableton Live MIDI guide or FL Studio MIDI guide.
