Is HouseKeys free?
Generation and audio preview are free. You can try three free MIDI exports before signing up. Unlimited exports cost £9.99/month and are available from your account.
Do I need an account?
You can generate and listen without signing in. Your first three MIDI exports work without signing in. A Google account is required to subscribe and manage billing. Guest downloads count towards your account allowance after sign-in.
Does MIDI include a piano sound?
No. MIDI contains performance instructions such as notes, timing and tempo. The browser uses a sine pluck to preview the idea. Add your own piano or other instrument in your DAW.
Which music software can open the files?
HouseKeys exports standard .mid files for MIDI-compatible DAWs, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro and FL Studio. Import the file onto a MIDI or instrument track and load an instrument to hear it.
Can the generator play below C2?
Yes. Set Lowest root to C0 or C1. Lower notes are included in the preview and exported MIDI. Octave labels may differ between DAWs.
Can I use exported MIDI in a released track?
You may edit and use exported MIDI in personal and commercial music under the terms. Progressions are non-exclusive; another output or existing piece may sound similar. No exclusive copyright is promised.
Will cancelling remove MIDI I already downloaded?
Exported MIDI remains yours to use under the terms. Cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the paid period.
Why can’t I hear the preview?
Press Play, check your device volume and make sure the browser tab is not muted. The browser needs a user interaction before starting audio. HouseKeys is designed primarily for desktop browsers.
How do I get help?
Visit Contact & support for help with downloads, accounts or payments. Do not send passwords or full card details.
